ONE-ON-ONE: Davao Oro Youth Meets PCOO Chief Andanar

NEW BATAAN, Davao de Oro - An opportunity to promote the organization and youth empowerment in the national level was given anew to the Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Davao de Oro as Bernadette M. Festin, President of the organization, was interviewed by PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday, August 10, 2020, during his Network Briefing News segment via Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) Facebook Page.

The said live interview was also attended by Davao de Oro Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy, Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Asec. Jonji Gonzales, and Super Balita Davao/ Aksyon Radio Davao (Media Partner) Dexter Visitacion.

During the program, Ms. Festin was able to highlight the new projects of YFPM Davao de Oro in the new normal, particularly the "Adopt a Community Project" and "Project Kambyo: a Barter for a Cause," to which Sec. Andanar positively responded.

Asked about her message to the youth, the YFPM Davao de Oro President quoted "you are exactly where you are needed to be."

"Even though you are always at home and feeling unworthy, always be reminded that you are doing the best thing you can do for now - staying at home - since we are advocating for youth for biosafety," she explained.

She also encouraged other youth to support the government by helping contain the spread of the virus, citing the BIDA Solusyon campaign of the Department of Health as their guide.
