LAAK, CVP - With the strong passion and drive to extend help and services to far-flung and conflict-affected areas in the Municipality of Laak, the youth volunteers of YFPM Laak and MRRD-NECC, together with the Charlie Company of 60IB, Indigenous People's Youth Movement on Peace and Progress (IPYMPP), Endonela Institute of Technology Foundation, Good Neighbors - Laak, LGU of Laak, and PLGU of Compostela Valley converged last July 24, 2018, to reach out the community of Special Barangay Limot here.
The volunteers spearheaded the said activity which includes the giving of School Kits (Notebook, Paper, Crayons, Pen/Pencil, Ruler, and Bond Paper), Feeding Program (Arozcaldo and Spaghetti), and a free haircut.
In the opening program, the speakers emphasized the need of the locals to work together to uplift the status of the community. They also gave the young students words to ponder that despite their pressing situation, they should always work hard and should not lose hope to have and attain quality education for them to become responsible and functional members of their families as well as their community.
Realizing that there is a need to help, do good things, and share what they have, the volunteers bear in mind that instead of wasting their time, they could participate in activities that will develop the communities as well as the other youth.
