At least 180 youth leaders and facilitators from different sectors who aspire to become servant leaders and advocates of peace in the province participated in.

The 3-day training was conducted by the Youth for Peace Movement Compostela Valley (YFPMCV) through the support of the Provincial Local Government of Comval led by Gov. Jayvee Tyron L. Different recognized speakers from the region also spoke about servant leadership, empowering the youth through social media, volunteerism, managing organizations, and addressing conflict and youth recruitment.

One of the highlights of the event is when visitors from the Destiny Marketplace Radicals, led by Mr. Mardean Malinao tackled the spiritual aspect of leadership by sharing the values of a servant leader according to the word of God.

They also engaged the participants afterward in a small group discussion to share what they have learned.

“Continue to grow no matter what your decisions will be because being a peace advocate is not a simple responsibility; we need to take risks. Now that you are part of this organization, you also need to set yourselves as servant leaders who will promote peace from your family up to other youth in your community,” he said.

He also shared the importance of their actions in promoting peace.

“There are positive and negative effects that we could acquire while promoting peace. However, let us always put in our mind and heart that we are a significant factor in promoting peace and order in our community,” he added.
