Peacebuilders unite in YFPMCV's fourth founding year


MACO, CVP - Peace advocates from the different parts of Compostela Valley were once again reunited as the Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Compostela Valley celebrated its 4th Founding Anniversary through the Panagtapok ug Pakighimamat (PUP) cum General Assembly on November 10, 2018, at the Pag-asa Brigade here.

The annual gathering has united some 150 members of the organization from its 11 Municipal Chapters for the purpose of reawakening their spirit of volunteerism and remind them of YFPM Comval's vision.


During the program, various team building activities and academic competitions were participated by the volunteers to build up and strengthen their relationship with other members.

Ms. Evadyne May dela Cerna, the Regional President of YFPM TALBOS also graced the gathering and shared a message to the peacebuilders of Comval.


One participant shared that it was a privilege for her to meet the President and listen to her stories of heroism and compassion of some Youth for Peace volunteers to contribute in the attainment of peace in Mindanao, especially during the Marawi siege.

The program also highlighted the presentation of reports of the 11 Municipal Chapters to their members during the morning event and a pageantry of LGBT volunteers who filled the Social Night with entertainment as they battled with beauty, talent, and brains in the Ms. PUP Q&A 2018.
