Peacemakers Share Pamaskong Handog for Children

MONKAYO, CVP - The Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Monkayo volunteers have once again proven their commitment to peacebuilding as they conducted one of the organization's major program last December 22, 2018, in partnership with the 25th Infantry Battalion, Municipal Local Government Unit of Monkayo, Provincial Government of Comval and other stakeholders, by sharing happiness to the children of Barangay San Jose here.

The project entitled "A Peace of Happiness" aims to contribute to peacebuilding by bringing gifts of happiness to the children living in conflicted-affected areas.

Such gifts were educational materials and apples while fun and games were also conducted to give joy to the children and their community.

A total of 100 children eagerly participated in the activities, with smiles on their faces, as they received packs of Christmas gifts.

According to YFPM Monkayo's President, Ms. Fritch Leah Tuyac, her most unforgettable moment in the program was hearing "Salamat Ate/Kuya" from the children.

"It was an unexplainable feeling for all the efforts that our youth volunteers put on in the activity. However it will never be done successfully without the support of Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy, the YFPM Compostela Valley, 25th Infantry Battalion, Mr. Neil Alvin Manzano, Mr. Jerome Montes, and Mr. Juvin Enriquez," she added.
