MABINI, CVP - The Youth for Peace Movement Mabini (YFPM) and the Sangguniang Kabataan Mabini have once again shown their support for a clean ocean by conducting its regular environmental program called "Kalinaw para sa Kinaiyahan" or KPSK, which was already done thrice this year.
The environmental awareness program that was conducted at the Coastline of Brgy. Tagnanan here on June 9, 2019, was part of both youth organizations' celebration of the Coral Triangle Day that is being commemorated every June 9.
"Ang paglinis ng ating karagatan ay isang magandang paraan upang mapangalagaan ang ating kalikasan," said Corporal Renante Paulo who represented Ltc Estyven Ducusin, Commander of 71st Infantry Battalion which is one of the supporters of the said program
After a lecture that aims to educate the volunteers on environmental preservation, the coastal clean-up followed along the coastline of Barangay Tagnanan.
Aside from the YFPM Mabini headed by Ms. Cristy Fannie Bonotan, and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Tagnanan headed by Hon. Ralph Luis Ladio, the second KPSK was also in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation Office headed by Hon. Denzel Razonable, Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) headed by Yasser Facundo, Compostela Valley Scholarship Program (CVSP), Muslim Youth headed by Rasul Macaguba, MDRRMC, all from Mabini, which gathered at least 30 volunteers coming from all the participating organizations
