YFPM Maragusan Assists GMA Foundation's Outreach

MARAGUSAN, DDO - The Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Maragusan started its first community engagement activity this year by extending voluntary support to the GMA Kapuso Foundation Gift Giving Program here on January 15, 2020, with the theme "Give Peace, Give Love."

During the whole day event, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, volunteers of YFPM Maragusan, and other partners were able to reach out to three different schools in the municipality and one in New Bataan which are located in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas.

According to the post of the organization on their Facebook Page, they were able to deliver various school supplies and other goods to more than 500 children.

The beneficiary Schools of GMA Kapuso's Program are:

1. Bahi Elementary School - Maragusan
2. Sitio Kaluyapi Elementary School - Maragusan
3. Langgawisan Elementary School - Maragusan
4. Ponpong Elementary School - New Bataan

Meanwhile, YFPM Maragusan expressed their gratitude to the GMA Kapuso Foundation for the rare occasion of volunteering in their activity, and to other stakeholders who extended their support for the event, such as the Local Government Unity of Maragusan, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Maragusan, 66th Infantry Battalion, and other public and private stakeholders.
