Kids in Red Area Receive Valentine Gifts from YFPM Mawab, Partners

MAWAB, Davao de Oro - Around 100 children of Sitio Estabillo, a conflic-affected community of Brgy. Andili here were able to benefit from the outreach activity of the Youth for Peace Movement (YFPM) Mawab called "A Peace of Happiness," on February 14, 2020.

In celebration of the day of love and giving, the beneficiary children of the far-flung community were able to receive items such as Story Books, Crayons, Notebooks, Apples, and a pair of Slippers. They also enjoyed the food, snacks, and a loot bag of candies and chocolates prepared by the youth volunteers, aside from the clown entertainment, games, and magic show.

Local leaders of the Municipality such as Municipal Mayor Hon. Ruperto S. Gonzaga III, SB Member & MYDO Hon. Bob R. Mirasol, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Andili, Hon. Danny O. Plazo, and Punong Barangay of Brgy. Poblacion, Hon. Monique Bryan S. Gonzaga has also graced the event to show their support to the youth.

YFPM Mawab's first outreach activity was made possible through the support of the Provincial Local Government of Davao de Oro headed by Governor Tyron L. Uy, Cong. Ruwel Peter S. Gonzaga, Hon. Mayor Ruperto S. Gonzaga III, Municipality of Mawab SB Members, SB & MYDO Hon. Bob Mirasol, Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation, Hon. Danny O. Plazo, Hon. Monique Bryan S. Gonzaga, Ms. Twinkle Gonzaga, 71st Infantry Battalion, Ms. Riza Tormis, Mr. Marc Cullen Brace, Ms. Rubelyn del Campo, Ms. Floriza Acido, and YFPM Davao de Oro.

A Peace of Happiness is an outreach activity of YFPM that aims to give joy to the children in conflict-affected and far-flung communities of Davao de Oro, by delivering basic services and supplies from the government and other partners.
