With a month to go before the expected schedule of the opening of classes, the said youth organization was able to distribute its excess notebooks and slippers from its flagship outreach program entitled "A Peace of Happiness" (APOH), which was held December last year.
Despite having a few supplies, Kirsty Amargo, the Community Development Coordinator of YFPM Montevista, expressed that it cannot stop them from helping others as they were able to benefit more than 40 children.
"Helping knows no quantity. As long as you are always ready to extend a hand to those who are in need, then, nothing can stop you," she said.
"When we help others, we can multiply love. And that is what our people, especially the children, need right now in this time of crisis," Amargo added.
Meanwhile, Lorie Jean Hiyas, the President of YFPM Montevista, encouraged her co-volunteers to continue involving as they implement more relevant activities in the New Normal.
"This pandemic can't stop us from helping. Instead of taking it as a threat, we will take it as a challenge and an opportunity to strive and initiate relevant activities for the benefit of those who are affected by this crisis," she said.
The house to house outreach is the organization's new way to extend help while observing physical distancing, wearing of masks, and disinfecting after the event.
