MONKAYO, Davao de Oro - Youth for Peace heads in Monkayo, Montevista and Nabunturan gathered for the second time this year to meet their new adviser from the 25th Infantry Battalion on August 16, 2020, Sunday at Camp Kalaw Poblacion here.
Present also were the Provincial Officers of YFPM Davao de Oro.
The gathering was done through Courtesy Call graced by the new Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Officer of 25IB, 2Lt. Ailene Patricia P. Oh and Maj. Brian M. Bagaipo, the Battalion's Executive Officer.
During the call, Christopher Basan, YFPM Monkayo President presented the background and history of Youth for Peace while the Presidents of other Chapters, led by Bernadette Festin of YFPM Davao de Oro, discussed their upcoming activities in the new normal.
These were lauded by the Officers of 25IB and added other suggestions that will align their programs to the plans of the youth organization.
Meanwhile, Maj. Bagaipo encouraged the Youth for Peace Officers to remain committed to the organization as they are essential parts of society.
"Since you have been part of YFP, you are special. You are the future of our fatherland. This is another way of loving the country," he said.
